Glenn Frey Is Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'A different style': The 63-year-old says that the album is dedicated to his parents and their love of music which they instilled in him at a young age
He may not have released a solo album for almost 20 years but Glenn Frey is back.

The 63-year-old musician is set to release a collection of classic love songs later this month which will include songs from the 1940's right through to present day.

Frey is best known as one of the founding members of The Eagles but After Hours has taken him in a whole new direction.
'It was a new adventure for me as a vocalist to see if I could indeed learn, own and deliver these songs,' Frey said of his sixth solo album.

'And I'm so happy I took the challenge, once I got started it seemed like these songs had been waiting for me to sing them, and I feel like since I've done this record I'm a better singer than I was before I started. It's a different style of singing.'

The two-and-a half year project was developed out of Frey’s passion for the songs and sound of such artists as Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, and Dinah Washington.

The diverse collection of songs include classics such as Sentimental Reasons
and My Buddy, as well as favorites from some of his contemporaries such as Brian Wilson’s Caroline No, and the first single from the album and Randy Newman’s Same Girl.
Frey collaborated with co-producers Richard F.W. Davis and Michael Thompson, both members of The Eagles touring band, to make the 14-track record possible.

After Hours is a dedication to Frey’s parents to celebrate the songs and love of music they instilled in him at a young age.

Some of Frey’s earliest memories take place in his grandmother’s kitchen, watching his mother iron and sing along with the radio.

'It's been great to spend the last two and a half years living with these amazing songs,' Frey added. I've enjoyed working with these talented musicians and finally seeing how it all fit together. It's been an incredible experience.'

After Hours will be available to buy in digital and CD formats on June 25.
