"Blondie" Featuring Debbie Harry On Tour 2013!
Can you believe that after all these years that "Debbie Harry" and the band "Blondie" are going on an extensive tour the summer of 2013? I for one am very glad to see this. "Blondie" the band was considered by a lot of music critics back in the day as "Ahead Of Their Time". This may explain the bands quick rise to fame in the very early 80s' and subsequent fall toward the mid 80s', or maybe not. As Awesome 80s' fans are fully aware, the band somehow fizzled out after "Rapture" and "Heart Of Glass" but we really didn't understand why. All of a sudden MTV had no Blondie videos in the rotation, favoring the English "New Wave" bands and of course "Michael Jackson" videos from 1983 onward. The last mention of Blondie in the 80s' as I remember was a mention of the band in the movie "Fast Times Of Ridgemont High" in 1982. Well they may have gone off of the radar in the mid 80s' , but they have been making music ever since. Check out the bands "You Tube" videos for tracks that didn't make the mainstream cut for some reason, a lot of them are fairly recent. Well that apparently is show business.
